Press Release 24th September 2007 'Bang on with
tradition'
With over 115 years behind them, McWhinneys of the Square
Comber are off to St. George’s Saturday Food & Garden Market
with their range of premium sausages.
In an extension to the existing family butchers shop run
by Hugh McWhinney , Michael and Evelyn McWhinney and Michael’s
mother Irene have set up a new specialist sausage making business under
the family name.
On offer will be their range of traditional premium hand
made and hand knotted sausages, some of which are made to great grandfather
Hugh McWhinney’s original recipe.
“We’re very proud of what the family has achieved
over the years by listening to our customers and in being consistent
in our love of making tasty, lean and tender sausages”. Coming
to St. Georges is really exciting move for us and we’re keen to
meet people and let them see what we have to offer. We’ll be cooking
sausages on the stall for tasting and there will be a few treats in
store for the kids”, commented Michael McWhinney.
