Our secret chef is so high profile and so famous his identity must be protected. In fact some say he is more famous than the Stig.

Linda's Sausage Rolls

Ingredients:

454g McWhinneys Traditional Irish Pork Sausages (skinned)
½ medium sized onion – finely chopped
Black pepper to taste
1 (500g) packet puff pastry
1 beaten egg

Preparation method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 160oC
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheets and cut along the fold line of each sheet to form 6 equal squares for a total of 12 squares
  3. Mix together the sausage meat, onion and black pepper. Divide into 12 portions and roll into log shapes.
  4. Place one log onto each pastry square. Roll pastry around the sausage and seal with beaten egg. Place rolls onto a baking tray and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the sausage rolls are puffed and golden.
