Linda's Sausage Rolls
Ingredients:
454g McWhinneys Traditional Irish Pork Sausages (skinned)
½ medium sized onion – finely chopped
Black pepper to taste
1 (500g) packet puff pastry
1 beaten egg
Preparation method:
- Preheat the oven to 160oC
- Unfold the puff pastry sheets and cut along the fold line of each sheet to form 6 equal squares for a total of 12 squares
- Mix together the sausage meat, onion and black pepper. Divide into 12 portions and roll into log shapes.
- Place one log onto each pastry square. Roll pastry around the sausage and seal with beaten egg. Place rolls onto a baking tray and brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the sausage rolls are puffed and golden.
